Statement on Reports of Atlas Mining Operations and Flooding in Cebu due to Typhoon Tino
We wish to address some reports linking Atlas Mining’s to the recent floods caused by Typhoon Tino.
Atlas Mining’s Carmen Copper Mine is located in Toledo City in the southern part of Cebu.
There have been no major flood incidents in Toledo City during or after Typhoon Tino.
The areas affected by flooding were primarily in the central and northern parts of the province,
including Cebu City, Mandaue City, Talisay City, Liloan, Danao, and portions of Balamban and Asturias.
These areas are on the opposite side of the island from the Atlas Mining project in Toledo and not
anywhere near the vicinity of our Carmen Copper Mine.
As we continue to serve and support our host and neighboring communities in Cebu Province, we at
